How funny it is that we can stand on the outside of other people’s lives and it seem so easy for us to see what mistakes they are making or what they do that seems to work so well for them. Yet when it comes to our own lives we can, at times, we can be blindfolded to events, people and negative situations. If some “wise old one” was to stand on the outside of your life looking in, what do you think they would see?
Would they see healthy productive relationships? Would they see someone who likes themself and likes what they do? Would they see someone who is happy? Would they see someone who consistently seems to make the same mistakes, over and over again? Would they see someone who makes excuses or who is wishy washy in their choices? Would they stand on the outside shaking their head saying “NO!!!!!! Why are you making these choices?” Or would they look over you saying “You are doing your best, keep it up”? Would they be proud of you and your choices? More to the point are you proud of you and your choices? We all make mistakes and no one is perfect but surely it must feel better to be the best we can, learn from our mistakes, try to be positive in all aspects of life. When we make choices, we must try to choose from the heart without fear and choose according to our true self. Try looking at your life as if you were on the outside looking in…..what do you see? Be honest and change what you can, acknowledge areas that need improvement……….Remember…it is never too late to try to be the best person we can be! When we are being our authentic self we are being the best we can be and making the greatest choices for ourselves.
