We all know the saying “you are what you eat”… (Not that most of us actually live by it) but we have all heard it. Well, there is a saying that I think we should probably pay even more attention to…”You are what you think”.
Our thoughts are constant; our inner voice is like a playlist on repeat. It is the voice that we will hear more than any other throughout our entire lives. Let me ask you this….would you want to spend time with someone that puts you down, or someone that second guesses your every move and doubts your every decision?
No of course you wouldn’t! Then why do so many of us allow our inner thoughts to treat us in such a negative way? We compare, we judge, we criticise and doubt ourselves constantly. My challenge to you is to take ownership of your thoughts as of today. Start talking to yourself like a loving friend or family member. Start backing yourself, supporting yourself, start being positive and above all be kind to yourself. How can we even begin to think about being happy unless we start to own and positively control our own thoughts?
Be careful of your thoughts, for your thoughts become your words.
