Are you a little guilty of being ungrateful or complaining a bit?
I always find that when I feel a bit flat or just not quite right, that I have forgotten to be grateful. Today I remembered one of my favourite ways to get back on the grateful wagon………..replace the words “have to” with “get to”.
Try this ….Replace……….
“I have to go to work” with “I get to go to work” (not everyone is lucky enough to have a job)
“I have to cook dinner tonight” with “I get to cook dinner” (some people will not be able to afford groceries tonight)
“I don’t have much in my savings” with “I get to save some money” (some people are wondering how to pay their piling bills and don’t have a spare cent)
You’ve got the gist of it. This week replace “have to” with “get to”……morning, noon and night be grateful…………it can really shift your mood and improve your happiness.
