Kindness is such a powerful and transformative quality. Now even more than ever we need to remind ourselves to be kind – not only to others but also to ourselves. What would the world look like, if from today on, we all chose to be kinder?
Kind- is defined by as the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. What a lovely quality to spread to everyone you encounter.
I – interactions – make every interaction kind, sincere and thoughtful. Watch how your world becomes happier when you choose kindness.
N– nourish your relationships with kindness and very importantly don’t forget to be kind and nourish yourself.
D– do unto others as you would have done unto yourself. We all love to be treated with kindness and respect, so it makes perfect sense to treat others in that way too.
N– Now is the time to start. As the Dalai Lama says – “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible” Don’t wait to start being kind to others and yourself – start now.
E – Empathy and compassion help us to be kind when we are struggling to do so. Everyone has a story; everyone is going through something. When you are struggling to be kind, try to put yourself in their shoes or learn more about what they are going through. When you are struggling to be kind to yourself gives yourself the same empathy and time you would give to a loved one.
R -random acts of kindness can change someone’s day and have a positive kindness ripple effect. “Be the change you wish to see in the world” (Mahatma Gandhi). Not only does it make their day, it will also make yours too.
Hope you have a great week and share that kindness everywhere.
Love this acronym Michelle. Hones in on so much goodness 🙏 I love the time is now. It really is. One person at a time we can transform this world into a kinder more compassionate place, and it all starts with being able to show these feelings and behaviors to ourself. Love you 💖
Thank you Beth, you are so right – it does all start with being able to show these feelings and behaviorus to ourselves. Love you too 💕💕💕
Michelle, loved the profound breakup of the word KINDNESS. Let us all learn to be kind and loving to each and everyone. Such a lovely picture on kindness. Thanks.
Kindness will never go out of style. Paying it forward, paying it back. Being kind doesn’t cost a thing and can even be contagious. Beautiful post for today’s stresses Michelle 🙂
