Stop blooming comparing yourself..

I blooming love being a ladybug and dont want to compare myself to any other bug!

Do you compare yourself to others? Have you ever heard of the saying “comparison is the thief of joy” by Theodore Roosevelt?

Can you believe he uttered this quote over 100 years ago, well before social media was even a twinkle in someone’s eye?  What would he say in this day and age where comparison is happening every waking second of our lives and negatively impacting so many of us?

Comparing ourselves to others really does steal our joy, our self esteem and creates self doubt.  It is time to stop comparing ourselves to others and blossom where we are planted, with our own special attributes and gifts. We are all meant to be different. As Oscar Wilde once said, “Be yourself, everyone else is taken”. This is a lesson I need to remind myself of often and I think I will add it to my new year’s resolution list as a 2022 reminder.

“A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it. It just blooms” Zen Shin. It’s time to stop comparing and starts blooming. Here’s to a blooming great 2022. Wishing you all a great and happy new year.

Such a beautiful message to share at this special New Year time ✨✨
Happy New Year Michelle. May we enjoy our uniqueness & tune in to our own creations and life, rather than others! ♥️

  3. Love this Michelle! Instead of comparing ourselves we should be thinking about just blooming. I say, “To hell with the rest of the crazy stuff that fills our brains.”

  4. It can be done. Just takes a bit of elbow grease, lol.
