How balanced are you?

Yahoo look how balanced I am???chimpanzee-tight-rope-walking

I truly believe that one of the key lessons in life is balance. Having balance in our life improves our happiness.

Think about those times when you are stressed or feeling down and I bet that you’re juggling too many things. You know that feeling of being overwhelmed, can’t keep up, over stretched and simply not coping with all that life is asking of you. Continue reading

You are what you think………..

thinking chimpPenny for your thoughts…….

We all know the saying “you are what you eat”… (Not that most of us actually live by it) but we have all heard it. Well, there is a saying that I think we should probably pay even more attention to…”You are what you think”.

Our thoughts are constant; our inner voice is like a playlist on repeat. It is the voice that we will hear more than any other throughout our entire lives. Let me ask you this….would you want to spend time with someone that puts you down, or someone that second guesses your every move and doubts your every decision? Continue reading

I am at home in my tree, eating leaves…Mmmm

What feels right to you?  Where do you feel at home? Are aspects of your life that feel just right – like a snugly blanket or a lovely hug ? Are there aspects of your life that just dont feel right or are just not working? Continue reading

I choose to be happy every single day!

I choose to be happy every single day!

Well where have the past 6 months gone? I have no idea…..but I am back……….

Isn’t the remote control an amazing invention?? There is nothing better than switching channels when shows are boring or changing from a drama to a comedy when you need a lift. We can even rewind or fast forward a movie……..this got me to thinking how great it would be to have a “life” remote control. Change is not a dirty word…..

I see myself as a duck but my friends say that I act like a goose

I want to be bigger and stronger

Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? If you did, I am gathering that all of them would be leading you in the same direction or toward the same goal……to be happier in some way? If you didn’t, I am guessing it is not because you think that your life is perfect? In the search for contentment we normally focus on what makes us happy because as we all know what we focus on grows, so it makes perfect sense to focus on the positive in our lives.  Today I have a little challenge for you and it will be to look at your life a little differently………………. How happy are you?

I am a happy little pig!

I am a happy little pig!

Where do you sit on the happiness scale…..if totally miserable is 1 and deliriously happy is 10…where do you fit in? Do you say that you wish you were happier but do little to improve your situation? Do you make up excuses for your lack of happiness? Do any of these statements come out of your mouth form time to time? “I’ll be happier when: I get a different job, when I have more money, when I meet that someone special, when I get a new car, when I have more time, when I lose weight etc. etc.” Do you want to know a secret? I use a rock to crack the nuts. Yum!

I use a rock to crack the nuts. Yum!

So what is in your tool box?  No not hammers and screwdrivers I am talking about your coping tool box?  As we age and grow we gather an amazing assortment of “tools” that we then can use on a daily basis to help us work through things.  Life can get really tough and we all get thrown curve balls but if we can realise that we all have the resilience and useful tools that we can draw on, amazingly somehow we always get through.  So what sort of things are hidden in your toolbox?……………… Continue reading
