We are trying to get a little balance in our lives….
Do you often feel like you are juggling glass balls….pushed and pulled in 50 different directions? Or do you just feel like you don’t get time to do what you enjoy and love? We are often told that balance is the key to a happy and healthy life…… but for many of us our life is completely out of whack. Let’s face it……life gets busy and it can be so hard to find that mysterious “balance”. Continue reading
I am grateful for every moment with my family!
How often are we told how important it is to be grateful, to be happy and to live like there is no tomorrow? How often do we really listen to this sage advice and do we truly live by it? All too often we get sucked up by life, work, chores and the like when really we need to slap ourselves across the face and remember that life can be short. Continue reading
How dare you say that I am angry!
Have you heard about the latest sensational book due to come out next year???? Continue reading
Mmmm..I am trying to think of ways to make my life more enjoyable???
Do you enjoy your life? Yes I am asking you to get a little philosophical today………
For many of us we may need to break this down into the different aspects of our lives: home; work and play. For example, some of us may be very happy at home but miserable at work. So if you break your life into these 3 general categories how does each area rate? Maybe give them a score out of 10? Continue reading

I have been so stressed out lately and I am feeling so bloated.
Let me ask you what will seem like two completely unrelated and bizarre questions, (just bare with me, it will all make sense shortly):
1. Are you a bit of a worrier or stress head?
2. Do you have a “muffin top”, (a bigger tummy than you may like?)
No, I have not lost my mind or run out of post ideas. Even though these two questions may seem completely random and unrelated they in fact go very much hand in hand. Let me explain……………. Continue reading
I have will power…I am mentally tough?
From time to time most of us will go on either a diet or health kick of sorts. We may wish to shed some excess kilos, eat healthier or just to increase our level of fitness…….all great incentives to improve our health and wellbeing. We all know that when we are looking after ourselves that we feel better about ourselves and in most cases we become happier. When we diet we decide to eat less sugar and fat and eat more meat, vegetables and fruit. We decide to exercise more and couch potato less. We take the stairs not the elevator and Lucky the dog gets a daily walk.
Well that is all very good, but what about our mental and emotional health? Continue reading
I am grateful and proud of my young son!
Every time I find myself in a bit of a rut, low spot, and negativity is seeping in, I come to the realisation that I am losing touch with my gratefulness. I start looking at moments of the day, people I come across and situations from a negative standpoint. It really brings me down. I have to slap myself, pull up my socks and start looking at things from a positive light. It is so easy to get into a negative frame of mind but is so much more pleasing, happier and positive to be grateful, optimistic and loving life. Continue reading
So if I focus on this chicken it will grow??????
Well another month has gone by, hope yours was happy. It is time again for our first of the month reality check.
This month we are taking a look at the theory that “what you focus on grows”. If we think constantly about lack of money, then we attract a lack of money. If we spend a lot of time thinking negatively, we will feel negative and negative situations will follow.Have a think about the week that has just gone by…..what did the bulk of your energy and focus go to? What issues were you thinking about? Did you have concerns that were always in the back of your mind?
I'm sorry, let's kiss and make up....
Would you rather be right or happy as a pig in mud????? Not saying that you must decide between the two, but sometimes when we have the need to be right all of the time we can become very unforgiving, extremely inflexible and quite frankly difficult to get along with. Is it better to bend and flex in the wind and go with the flow, then to be rigid, unmovable and crack in the wind? Continue reading
