We are trying to get a little balance in our lives….
Do you often feel like you are juggling glass balls….pushed and pulled in 50 different directions? Or do you just feel like you don’t get time to do what you enjoy and love? We are often told that balance is the key to a happy and healthy life…… but for many of us our life is completely out of whack. Let’s face it……life gets busy and it can be so hard to find that mysterious “balance”. Continue reading
Please help me to stop worrying…I am so stressed out!
Are you a worrier? When you are concerned or troubled about something, when you can’t get it off your mind, what do you do that helps you move on, clear your head and get back on track? Continue reading
Mmmm..I am trying to think of ways to make my life more enjoyable???
Do you enjoy your life? Yes I am asking you to get a little philosophical today………
For many of us we may need to break this down into the different aspects of our lives: home; work and play. For example, some of us may be very happy at home but miserable at work. So if you break your life into these 3 general categories how does each area rate? Maybe give them a score out of 10? Continue reading

I have been so stressed out lately and I am feeling so bloated.
Let me ask you what will seem like two completely unrelated and bizarre questions, (just bare with me, it will all make sense shortly):
1. Are you a bit of a worrier or stress head?
2. Do you have a “muffin top”, (a bigger tummy than you may like?)
No, I have not lost my mind or run out of post ideas. Even though these two questions may seem completely random and unrelated they in fact go very much hand in hand. Let me explain……………. Continue reading
This mess is stressing me out, can’t we get more organised?
I am a firm believer that being organised can be a major contributor to our happiness. When we feel on top of things and that life is in order we have a sense of serenity and calmness. When we are in a state of disorder we can feel overwhelmed and overly stressed. Is organisation making your life enjoyable or on the flip side, too rigid and strict? Would those around you say that your life is: a mess; organized or too controlled? Continue reading

Christmas is too stressy Ruff! Don’t be silly Christmas is fun Meow!
What does the festive season mean for you? Does it conjure up an enjoyable, fun time spent with loved ones or a domino effect of stressful events that finally culminates on Christmas day? Are you a keep it simple kind of organiser or are you more of a “Home Beautiful magazine/Martha Stewart” type of host? Continue reading

These one size fits all outfits are too big!
One size fits all……pffft!
You know what I have come to realize??? This is impossible.
Why, for one second, would we think that a t-shirt that comes with a tag saying one size fits all could ever possibly fit “ALL”. When you think of it, this notion is utterly ridiculous. Try to picture it….imagine a size 6 petite young lady and a size 5xl man wearing the exact same t-shirt……Ludicrous.
So then, why would we think that the answers and solutions that we seek would come in a one size fits all format? We are all so different, so unique, how could a one size fits all approach work for anything? Continue reading
My flow is hanging out and laughing with my little piggy mate
What if I told you I knew of something that would reduce your stress, make you happier, stop you comparing yourself to others, leave you feeling fulfilled and was definitely within your budget and your reach? Would you be interested? I know I would. Well I think I have found it. Is it in a book? A pill? A CD? Or is it a message delivered by a mystical guru at some overpriced seminar? NO! Surely there cannot be a “one size fits all” solution? Well, what if I told you that this will suit you and your individual needs? What to know more? Okay, I will let you in on a little secret. Positive psychology calls this phenomenon “flow”. Back in the day we used to strive to find “our groove, “our thing”. We would look for harmony, Zen, our passion or enlightenment. Well look no further, you have now found “flow”. Continue reading
What’s wrong with being negative….I am fine!
Negativity can be poisonous and stressful. Think of having pessimistic thoughts or using destructive words as filling yourself up with poisons. When you are having a bad day and being negative think of that as pouring toxins into your body. Each thought or word is like a cup of toxin entering your body, affecting your health, your immunity and changing your entire outlook. It can be contagious and doesn’t do anyone any favours. Negativity can seem to take on a life of its own and it is very draining. Imagine being in a conversation with someone who is focusing only on gloom and doom, we have all been there and it is not pleasant. So what can we do to change, to be more positive and to be more pleasant to be around? Continue reading
