Do you treat others how you want to be treated?

I'm glad we made up.

I'm glad we made up.

Do you treat others how you want to be treated?  Do you reap what you sow? These statements are not only true for our words but also for our  actions, thoughts and wishes for others too. If you think negative thoughts about others, if you wish negative things for others, you are basically wishing these things for yourself? Makes you think…………….

Try looking at it from this point of view……what you do or think about others WILL be done to you. If you truly believed this you would always forgive others.  If you truly believe this, you would only wish others…..even your enemies….well. Now I am not saying that this one is easy….of course if someone has hurt you deeply, it is extremely hard to wish them well but what if  you were to say something like….”I wish you peace, I forgive you and I am moving on”. Remember…. Forgiveness is not something that you do for others but something that you do for yourself to be well and to move on”.  I read a saying,( supposedly by the  Dali Lama), saying basically, that when you say bad things about others imagine your mouth filling with poo. YUK!!! makes you not want to say anything bad again. So maybe we should also try to imagine our mind filling with poo when we think bad thoughts of others too????? So next time we begin to think negatively about someone………..and yes we are all guilty of this……………try to turn it around….try forgiveness.   Let me know how you go???????
